About Shell Knob Rec Area

Constructed through a partnership between the Forest Service and the Shell Knob Lions Club, the Shell Knob Rec Area is situated atop a bluff overlooking the White River arm of Table Rock Lake, just north of the town of Shell Knob in southwest Missouri. The area is located at the former site of an old CCC camp (Civilian Conservation Corps Camp No. 3753), with some of the old foundations still present. The site features a beautiful view of Table Rock Lake.

Features include a 40' x 80' pavilion with kitchen facilities, numerous picnic tables, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, walking trail, observation deck, playground, vault toilets, and interpretive signs. The lighted pavilion can be reserved on a daily basis through www.recreation.gov.

This is a day-use only facility; no overnight camping is allowed.
