About Bear Creek Horse Camp

The Bear Creek Horse Camp serves as a small primitive camping area for equestrian riders on the network of interconnecting loop trails that comprise the Bear Creek Equestrain Trail system. Located next to the Deckard Mountain Walk-In Turkey Hunting Area, this small primitive horse camp also provides access into that area as well. Additionally, one of the loops of the Bear Creek Trail is inside the turkey hunting area.

This small campground offers no amenities, mostly just parking spurs for horse trailers and a vault toilet. But, its small size and remoteness create a truly isolated experience, full of solitude and natural beauty. Also, this horse riding area is located just off of the Buffalo Gap Auto Tour, and is not too far from Arkansas Scenic Highway 7.
