The view from atop Mt Nebo
Mt. Nebo State Park Hang Gliding

Hang Gliding has always been a favorite pastime here atop 1,350 foot Mount Nebo State Park. Launching from two points on the mountain, gliders can soar above valley below. One launch site is from Sunrise Point at the east end of the mountain; the other site is from an area behind the park visitor center.

Two hang-gliding events are held annually at the park, providing that the wind and the weather allow. One is a Spring fly-in held near the end of April, and the other is a Summer fly-in held near the end of August. Those who wish to participate must register at the park visitor center. Only those with proof of an advanced pilot license are allowed to fly.
