Fishing at Pinnacle Mountain
Pinnacle Mountain State Park Fishing

Fishing around Pinnacle Mountain State Park can be enjoyed at nearby Lake Maumelle, the Arkansas River, and the Big and Little Maumelle Rivers. Lake Maumelle is the main water supply for Little Rock. Because of this, for water quality control reasons, the lake does not offer much woody vegetation cover for fish. Lake Maumelle is sometimes referred to as "the Dead Sea" because of this. Those groups of fish that can be found are usually concentrated, and offer good fishing. The majority of species caught at Lake Maumelle are white, black and hybrid striped bass, as well as Kentucky bass, crappie, bream and catfish.
