Eagle's Roost Trail

    Description
  • The Eagle's Roost Trail is located in the Paradise Cove section of the park, and will take you along the shore of the lake, then into the nearby oak/hickory woods. This is a good trail and area of the park to see nesting eagles in the winter.

Whispering Pines Mountain Bike Trail

    Description
  • The Whispering Pines Mountain Bike Trail is composed of four loops, and travels through much of the park.
    • Blue Section - 2 miles
    • Green Section - 2 miles
    • Yellow Section - 4.5 miles
    • Red Section - 5.1 miles
    The Blue section is paved, following along park roads as it winds through the Choctaw camping area. This 2 mile loop can be accessed from either the lodge or the nature center.
  • The Green section is a 2 mile loop, and begins either at the nature center or across from the Chickasaw camping area. It is a natural surface trail, and has a few hills and rough areas.
  • The Yellow section trailhead is located across from the Chickasaw Area entrance, but can also be accessed from the Seminole and Creek areas. This 4.5 mile trail has a few hills and rough sections.
  • The longest section in the park, the Red section is just over 5 miles in length, and also has a few hills and rough sections. Trailheads can be found at the Choctaw and Cherokee camping areas, or near the park office.

Three Forks Nature Trail

  • The Three Forks Nature Trail begins and ends at the Three Forks Nature Center, and is used by the park naturalist during nature programs.
