Directions: Ozone campground is located along AR Highway 21, approx. 16.7 miles North of US Hwy 64 at Clarksville. It is also approx. 11.4 miles south of the junction of Hwy 16 & Hwy 21 at Fallsville.
About Ozone
Ozone campground is located at the former site of the historic Ozone CCC camp, and is a major campground/access point along the Ozark Highlands Trail. Eight camping units are provided, and while camping trailers are welcomed, no hookups or special amenities are provided. Other facilities include a reservable pavilion, plus individual picnic sites. A vault toilet is also provided, but no drinking water is available.
Ozone also makes a great stop for a picnic while traveling along the Ozark Highlands Scenic Byway, which travels along AR Hwy 21 from the southern boundary of the Ozark National Forest near Clarksville and the Arkansas River Valley, to the northern boundary near the Buffalo River area in Newton County.
