Marina & Boat Rentals

The marina at Stockton State Park has everything from fishing boat and pontoon rentals, sailboat and waverunner rentals, fishing tackle, a cafe, camping supplies, ice, and even sailing lessons. Their friendly crew and staff will do all that they can to make your visit as action-packed or as relaxing as you choose.

Sailing

Built in 1972, Stockton Lake is a great lake for all kinds of watersport activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, scuba diving, snorkling, and more. But, Stockton is also home to sailing. The open topography of the lake provides for a dependable southwest breeze that is perfect for sailing. While casual sailing is usually the mood, Stockton Lake also hosts many sailing events throughout the year. Many organized racing and crusing events are scheduled each year, including the Governor's Cup Regatta. The event was first held in 1974 and drew 150 boats. Typically, over 300 sailboats call Stockton Lake home.

Swimming & Watersport Activities

Located at the north end of the park is a gravel swimming beach, and includes a restroom and changehouse. There is no lifeguard on duty, and the swim area is open during the summer season from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Located nearby, the is also a picnic area with tables and an outdoor grill.

Stockton State Park offers great access to the lake and its many opportunities for water recreation. Visitors can enjoy fishing, swimming, water skiing, scuba diving, and sailing. The open topography of the lake provides for a dependable southwest breeze that is perfect for sailing.

Fishing

With over 300 miles of shoreline, and numerous coves, fisherman will love Stockton Lake. Anglers can catch a variety of fish, from crappie, black bass, white bass, bluegill and channel catfish. But, the lake is well known for its walleye fishing. Stockton Lake is not the only place in Missouri to catch walleye, but it is certainley the best! Anglers catch more walleye here than in any other lake in the state.
