Trail of Tears State Park Campground


Trail of Tears State Park offers two campgrounds within the park. The Lake Boutin campground offers 34 sites for primitive tent camping or for campers, but no hookups are available. The campground has restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. It is open only during the on-season, which is May - October.

The Mississippi River campground offers 7 fully modern sites with water, electricity and sewer hookups, and 10 semi-modern sites with electricity. A vault toilet and dump station are located within the campground, with a restroom and shower facility just down the road, near the Wescoat Pavilion.

NOTE: The Mississippi River Campground sits next to an active railroad.
