Fishing below Spavinaw Dam
Spavinaw State Park Fishing

Spavinaw Lake, which is built upon Spavinaw Creek, was completed in 1924, has 1,673 surface acres and a 20 mile long shoreline. Fish species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, white bass and sunfish. Flyfisherman will usually hit the creek below the dam, often for smallmouth. The small bluffs along the creek in the park provide for a scenic background while fishing, too.
