Lighthorseman Trail

    Description
  • This multi-use trail begins near the cabins and nature center, and travels along the northern shore of Lake Wister, with some great views of the lake along the way. It is relatively easy terrain, with minor elevation change, but does have some loose rock areas. During the summer, parts of the trail can become overgrown with brush. The end of the trail is just across the road from the Wards Landing camping area, and connects with the Lone Star Interpertive Trail.

Lone Star Interpretive Trail

  • Time: ½ hour
  • Requirements: None
    Description
  • This is a self-guided nature trail which winds through the forest and up to a rocky ridge that runs through the park. It begins at the Wards Landing camping area. The Lighthorseman Trail can also be accessd from this trail.
