History abounds in the Ozarks, and has shaped its culture and landscape into what it is today. With such a close tie to its history, even today, folklore and historic preservation are not only taught in the Ozarks, but are celebrated in everyday life.
Currently, I have not been able to gather enough information yet on the rich and plentiful history of the Ozarks and Ouachita Mountains. As that information becomes available, I will list it here.
