About Brazil Creek

The Brazil Creek Campground serves as one of the two main trailheads for the 24-mile Berryman Multi-Use Trail, as well as a trailhead/access for the Courtois Section of the Ozark Trail. Many hikers, bikers, horseback riders and backpackers use this small primitive campground as they traverse either scenic trail through the Ozarks.

Dispersed primitive camping is allowed at the campground, with a few sites offering fire rings, tables and lantern posts. No drinking water or restrooms are available. Stock water for horses is located nearby and at ponds along the Berryman Trail.

Brazil Creek is a popular drop-off/pick-up location for those who wish to day hike a portion of the Berryman Trail. It is also popular with those who want to camp halfway along the trail, and complete the 24-mile loop in two days.
