About Tenkiller

Known as Oklahoma's "Heaven in the Hills," Lake Tenkiller and its clear blue waters a truly an Oklahoma gem. Located in the Cookson Hills in the eastern part of the state, the lake attracts local visitors and others from surrounding states for numerous watersport activities, including fishing, swimming, scuba diving, boating, water skiing, inner tubing, and much more.

Tenkiller State Park, located near the dam and spillway of Lake Tenkiller, offers plenty of ammenities for those having a day, or weekend, of fun out on the lake. Park facilities include RV and tent camping areas, swimming beaches and a pool, kids fishing pond, a full service marina & cafe, a nature center, paved hiking trail, and a scuba diving park.

Fishing on Lake Tenkiller is just great! Anglers can try for bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie and sunfish. The marina offers boat rental and service, and the park offers a lighted boat ramp for access to the lake, plus a couple of fishing docks. The scuba diving park, located at fishermans point, is an underwater area devoted to diving in the clear waters, among sunken boat hulls and even a sunken school bus.

For overnight visits to the park, modern and semi-modern RV campsites, plus primitive tent sites, offer a place to rest and relax. If you are looking for a little more comfort, 39 cabins and 10 cottages offers beds, heat & air, and some even have full kitchens. Comfort stations are located throughout the park, with modern restrooms and hot showers.

After just one visit to Lake Tenkiller, you will want to return even before you leave!
