About Twin Bridges Area

Twin Bridges Area is located on the northern end of Grand Lake, where the Neosho River and Spring River arms of the lake come together. The park sits along the lake's shores and up on the peninsula between the two rivers. It is known for its quiet atmosphere and excellent fishing opportunities.

Twin Bridges offers RV and tent camping, comfort stations with restrooms and showers, lake huts, pavilions, picnic areas with tables and grills, playgrounds, a volleyball court and a horseshoe area. The lake huts are one-room huts with electricity, ceiling fans and screened windows. Outside, they each have their own grills, tables, water, and are located near a comfort station with restrooms and showers.

The park also features a marina & fishing center with bait and tackle supplies, snacks and drinks, and an enclosed fishing dock. Lighted boat ramps give access to the lake and rivers.

Anglers will love the fishing found on the lake and the two rivers, including catfish, bass, bluegill and spoonbill. The park is also home to the Wildlife Department's Paddlefish Research & Processing Center, which collects important biological data about the fish, processes meat for anglers, and salvages paddlefish eggs. The Research Center is open from February 15th to May 15th. Contact the Wildlife Department for more information about the center.

During the summer months, visitors come to the park to play and swim in the lake and rivers, while during the winter months, you will find eagles nesting in the trees along the bluff overlooking the Spring River. Also, around christmas time, the park hosts its annual Park of Lights drive-thru light display, including over 40 brightly lit displays. On select nights, Santa is available at the park! Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
